Tokyo Travel and Accommodation
July 14 – July 25, 2025
Regardless of Tokyo’s large population, getting around the city is relatively simple and efficient. The metro system is vast and stations (some of the biggest in the world!) serve all the key areas of the city, and then some. Beyond the many hotel and hostel options in and around the city, short-term rental apartments can be found in most areas.

Travel
If you are arriving by plane:
Tokyo Narita (to the north-east) and Tokyo Haneda (to the south) are the major airports serving the Tokyo metropolitan area. Both airports service domestic and international carriers. Of the two, Haneda is closer to the downtown Tokyo area (which can be reached, from Haneda by bus or taxi), yet unlike Narita does not have a convenient train line connecting it seamlesslesly to the centre of town.
Accommodation
Accommodation is abundant in Tokyo. Short term housing, including hotels, hostels and apartment rentals are available year-round. Hotels in, or near, the centre ot the city can be priced highly, whereas apartment / house rentals via platforms like AirBNB or booking.com, although sometimes small, can offer very good value for the location. Venice Studio does not provide or recommend accommodation, however, it manages a private platform connecting students with other students who wish to share accommodation together. Please contact Venice Studio should you be interested in this.
